Statement of Action
The National Violence Prevention Hotline (NVPH) offers free support with the goal of preventing individuals from committing violent acts. While there are existing hotlines for suicide prevention, domestic violence, and other crises, there is currently no dedicated resource focused specifically on preventing acts of violence before they occur.
Program Summary
At present, the U.S. lacks a national hotline dedicated to violence prevention, creating a critical gap in addressing violent behavior before it escalates. Currently, individuals have no seamless, centralized way to report concerns about potential violence or to receive help in de-escalating dangerous thoughts or situations.
This absence results in missed opportunities to intervene early, leaving communities vulnerable to tragic violence.
Our goal is to prevent violence by connecting those at risk with immediate help, crisis counseling, and appropriate follow-up services.
Proposal for Funding
National Violence Prevention Hotline is a 501c (3) organization seeking funding to begin formal operations and outreach for great collaboration with government agencies and the private sector.

Crisis Support Program
The National Violence Prevention Hotline’s (NVPH) solves a critical gap as it is the only national resource dedicated specifically to violence prevention for perpetrators as opposed to victims of violence. Although having services available for victims continues to be important, research and practice demonstrate that there is hope for preventing violent acts among those who are contemplating harm before they occur (as well as people who are worried about someone in their life acting out violently).

Warning Signs and Bystander Guidance
Violence rarely happens without warning.
Research examining mass attacks shows that many perpetrators display concerning behaviors long before an incident occurs. These behaviors are often visible in everyday environments — workplaces, schools, restaurants, and retail spaces.
Financial Transparency
- The National Violence Prevention Hotline officially launched operations in 2025. Prior to launch (2022–2024), the organization was a 501(c)(3 )that had no operational revenue and filed the required IRS informational postcards.
