Our board is made up of advocacy experts, professional counselors, healthcare professionals, and social workers with a common goal of preventing violence and helping trauma survivors get the treatments they need to thrive.

Paul-Krauss

Paul Krauss, MA LPC

President

Paul Krauss MA LPC is the Clinical Director of Health for Life Counseling in Grand Rapids, home of The Trauma-Informed Counseling Center of Grand Rapids. Paul is also a Private Practice Psychotherapist, an Approved EMDRIA Consultant and EMDRIA Certified Clinician, host of the Intentional Clinician podcastBehavioral Health Consultant, Clinical Trainer, and Counseling Supervisor. Paul is now offering consulting for a few individuals and organizations. Paul is the creator of the National Violence Prevention Hotline (in progress) as well as the Intentional Clinician Training Program for Counselors.

James “Randy” Webb, MA, MC, LMHC is a self-described promoter, campaigner, and networker who says that his penchant for building bridges and connecting people is in his name. A lifelong student of bilingual education and linguistics got into communication as a form of healing, which drew him into how the nervous system and everything attached to it develops. He has taken great joy in facilitating learning in multiple media with the goal of promoting individual, family, and community recovery. He currently works as a technical training specialist with Office of the Assistant Secretary, Division of Disease Control and Health Statistics of the Washington State Department of Health.

Andrea-Miller

Andrea Miller

Secretary

Andrea Miller is the secretary for NVPH’s executive board. She is a recent graduate of Grand Valley State University’s Masters of Social Work program and is currently working on getting her full clinical social work license. Andrea is highly passionate about advocacy and non-profit work and is looking forward to seeing what impact NVPH has on our country over time.

Heidi-Rueda

Dr. Heidi Rueda, Ph.D

Board Member

Dr. Heidi Rueda is the John E. Christensen Community Chair in Child Welfare at the School of Social Work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Dr. Rueda specializes in adolescent dating violence prevention and trauma-informed approaches to practice among diverse adolescent populations. She aims to inform the design and evaluation of developmentally- and culturally-grounded preventative interventions, and has published a book and over 35 peer-reviewed articles. Lindsay-Dietz

Lindsay Dietz, BSW, MAPM

Board Member

Ms. Dietz has worked in the healthcare and non-profit field serving the underserved population for more than 17 years. Beginning her career in Venezuela, Mrs. Dietz focused on the development of multidisciplinary team approaches for in-patient pediatric services for burn victims and their families. Following, she worked the national level with the Venezuelan National Telecommunication agency leading several projects focused on engaging the community leaders, expanding the use of radio/technology communication services, and increasing access to care for rural and native Venezuelan population. Her experience includes developing national strategic plans to provide access to care and data collection and analysis (social-economic indicators of health). Mrs. Dietz has worked with clinical/non-clinical staff, built multidisciplinary teams, and leveraged the use of technology and effective workflows to benefit the Value-Based Care reimbursement model. Ms. Dietz, who is bilingual (English/Spanish), earned her undergraduate degree and licensure in Social Work at the Central University of Venezuela with publishing honors. She also completed a Master’s degree in Administration and Project Management from Northern Arizona University with honors and academic recognition. Mrs. Dietz also holds a certificate in Infant and Family Studies from the Harris Infant Mental Health Institute specialized in Trauma Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, and Behavioral Health.

Mrs. Dietz is an active member of the National Association of Community Health Centers and a member of their Health Centers Controlled Network (HCCN) Task Force. She has also contributed to NCQA’s Digital Quality Summit and other national data/technology related workgroups.

Dr-Noe-Vargas

Dr. Noé Vargas

Dr. Noé Vargas is a native of Tepic Nayarit, Mexico; he emigrated to the United States in 1989 and has had a residency in Phoenix since that year. Dr. Vargas is bilingual in English and Spanish. He earned a doctorate in behavioral health from Arizona State University (ASU). Additionally, Dr. Vargas holds two master’s degrees in counseling and human resources, an advanced graduate certificate in trauma, abuse, and deprivation from Ottawa University Phoenix Campus, two bachelor’s degrees in psychology and Spanish, and a graduate certificate in gerontology from Arizona State University West-Campus. He is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a PreK-12 Standard School Counselor (SSC) in the State of Arizona. Dr. Vargas has over ten years of experience working with diverse and unique individuals in different clinical and academic settings. He has held clinical and scholarly titles, including counselor, program director, clinical supervisor and director, college assistant dean, adjunct faculty, clinical assistant professor, and school counselor. Dr. Vargas specializes in diversity proficiency, trauma-informed care and treatment, substance use disorders (SUDs), and addictions, amongst other counseling-related topics. Dr. Vargas believes in the uniqueness and potential of each human being. As a member of the helping professions, Dr. Vargas encourages creating a compassionate, welcoming, genuine, diversity-affirming, and promoting unity through mutual respect and a goal-informed service plan.

Jacob Moon, MS, LMFT, LLPC, EMDR-C

Board Member

Jacob Moon is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has practiced in a variety of settings including; Outpatient mental health, private practice, and residential treatment. During this time, he has provided therapy to individuals, couples, and families. Jacob’s experiences, coupled with his educational background have helped him develop an integrative approach to helping each person who finds their way into his counseling office. Jacob is an EMDR Certified Therapist and specializes in sexual trauma, is an AAMFT Supervisor Candidate, and a Doctoral Student in Marriage and Family Therapy. He currently works as a Clinical Director and psychotherapist in private practice and supervises emerging MFTs. Jacob’s passion is to bring people together and advocate for those that need a voice.
